Our Story

Named for the flower
that lights the forest.

Every spring, the palash tree turns the Chotanagpur plateau into a wall of orange flame. Locals call it “Flame of the Forest.” We named this table after it.

Palasa sits on the highway into Hazaribagh — a fine-dining room built around a wood fire, a short seasonal menu, and produce drawn from the plateau around us: bamboo shoot, mahua, forest honey, river fish. The technique is global. The pantry is entirely local.
